Berkeley Energia Limited (Stock Symbols – ASX: BKY, LSE: BKY) engages in the exploration and development of mineral properties in Spain.

The Salamanca uranium project is approximately three hours west of Madrid, Spain.
A definitive feasibility study for this project was completed in July of 2016 which demonstrates that this project will place among the lowest cost producing uranium mines with a total cash cost of $15.06 per pound of uranium.
The Salamanca project contains 60 million pounds of uranium in the measured and indicated categories with another 30 million pounds in the inferred category.
The project has among the lowest costs per pound for production in the low $20 USD which includes the initial capital costs of $95.7 million to build out the mining operation.
The net present value for this project is $531.9 million USD and has an impressive IRR of 60%.
The project is expected to employ 450 full time staff members and provide an indirect job creation of about 2,000 once in production.
The company notes it will be a top 10 uranium producer with 4.4 million pounds of uranium produced per year.
The company was formerly known as Berkeley Energy Limited and changed its name to Berkeley Energia Limited in November 2015.
