Baselode Energy Corp. (Stock Symbol – TSXV: FIND, OTCMKTS: BSENF) operates as a uranium exploration company. It focuses on discovering basement hosted and high grade uranium orebodies in the Athabasca basin in Saskatchewan, Canada.
The company has a 100% ownership of the Shadow Project located south east of the Arrow Uranium Deposit. The project has no underlying royalties associated with it.
The project demonstrates similar geophysical and structural similarities to other high grade uranium deposits found in the Athabasca region. Namely, Cameco‘s McArthur River and NexGen Energy’s Arrow.
This project covers an area of approximately 46,000 hectares along the Virgin River Shear Zone.
The project area has a significant exploration setting with little to no sandstone cover, deep structures and easily accessible basement rocks.
Baselode Energy’s Hook Project is also 100% company owned and royalty free.
The project area covers approximately 30,000 hectares and is southwest of Cameco’s MacArthur River uranium mine.
The company notes that a showing at surface has returned and outstanding 44.5% wt% U3O8 at the Hook Project.
With the potential for a near surface high grade uranium discovery, Baselode Energy is re-evaluating historical geological and geophysical data.
They will use this re-analysis to assist in identifying dormant high grade exploration targets.
Equity ownership for this company is very tight, with approximately 40% of outstanding shares owned by insiders.
The company is based in Toronto, Canada.
